When a person shares that they identify as LGBT, the parent(s) may feel overwhelmed with feelings, questions, and concerns for their child regardless of the child’s age. As they continue to love and walk alongside their children, the parent(s) may question what love requires, how to hold on to their faith without alienating their family, or how God is working in their experience. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, parents of children who identify as LGBT are invited to join the Family Life team as we explore these feelings and questions in a guided and respectful conversation with Eve Tushnet, co-founder of Building Catholic Futures. Eve will speak from her 20+ years of experience mentoring and accompanying people with same-sex attraction and their families. This gathering will run from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Sullivan Center at St. Camillus in Arlington and include prayer and small group discussion. RSVP is optional yet encouraged so we can plan accordingly.
